You know James Acaster from the TV and clips of him rinsing Ricky Gervais don’t you? A ball of nervous energy in a tracksuit top, famed for his Bake Off failures and his wild ride on Taskmaster. He’s a funny, smart fella.
He’s also in a 40 piece collective called Temps, which sees Acaster in the guise of a cartoon alligator. Well, a fuzzy alligator suit at least.
You’d expect a comedian making an album to be pulling out an acoustic guitar, growing a beard, and being all emotional and real and showing a very different side to themselves wouldn’t you? Not any of that nauseating behaviour from Acaster, thank god.
They have vinyl coming out which looks very nice (and probably will end up being quite collectible too, if you’re into that kind of thing). It’s called ‘Party Gator Purgatory‘ and is on coloured vinyl and has a lovely gatefold sleeve and it’s delightful to look at all ends up. You can save your copy as a pre-order over at the ever excellent Norman Records.
