Songs your dad loved are back in vogue thanks to a load of younger, possibly traumatised kids looking toward a simpler time of the ’70s or, at least, road trip radio stations, which sees younger artists wading into the comfort and flared jeans.
With that, we tripped over a new song by Petal called ‘You Really Love Me’ which is AM radio country rock in the best possible way. Petal is Kiley Lotz, we understand, and she’s brought out something gently anthemic and has a lovely baritone voice and while this may not change the world, it’s making us very happy to listen to it, and sometimes, that is exactly what you need.
While we go into their backcat to see if there’s any other gems we’ve missed out on, you should press play on this.
