Goat are Swedish, mysterious, and fucking amazing. A lot of modern psychedelic music focuses on one of two things – a) Hazy, pastoral music, b) Jam band fuzz wig-outs. Not Goat. They’re truly psychedelic in that they feel like they come from somewhere completely alien to the rest of us and dress the part while delivering the heaviest, grooviest, shamanistic rock music on the planet.
Great news is that they will release new album called ‘Medicine’ on October 13th.
They made something of a return last year after some time out, with the behemoth ‘Oh Death’. That was great, but not as great as a full album from them. They’re is going to be eight tracks on the long player, and it’s almost certainly going to blow our brains out.
And we don’t have to wait to hear some of it. They’ve put out a new track called ‘Unemployment Office’ and it’s a swirling Hammond, proggy belter that will make you want to rip all your clothes off and run screaming at a stone circle.
Here. Listen.
