WORDS ABOUT MUSIC + POP CULTURE

GET EXCITED / LOGIC1000

No music genre ever really goes away, but when there’s a blossoming of interest, it’s always worth keeping an eye on those artists within who are keeping things moving and interesting. And so, to Logic1000 who is making some of the coolest house music on the planet right now – experimental in places, but accessible and supremely dancefloor ready… and whip smart.

Now, we’re not talking about a new artist as such as there’s been action in Logic1000ville for 6 years already – however, we’re days away from a debut album and we’re guessing that this could be one of the premiere releases of 2024.

Steeped in house, sure, but there’s flashes of bassline, R&B and clean techno too. If you’ve been driving yourself mad trying to find some dance music you can really get your teeth into while having a real good time, then look no further.

Working with real good heads like Yunè Pinku and Rochelle Jordan, and co-signed by Four Tet, Logic1000 is absolutely already on people’s watchlists – but that’s no reason to not shout about her work some more! One of the things we love is the radiating warm that comes from her production. Like Kraftwerk making their synths alive with humanity through programming, here you’ll find precision edits, but still overflowing with a human touch.

The debut LP – ‘Mother’ – is out on March 22nd and described by Logic1000 as “a love letter to house music” and if they’re not playing giganto stages soon, we’ve failed her – or, more likely, she’s made a conscious decision to do things her own way, and who can argue with that?

She recently had an NME cover, so the anticipation is fully there already, and there’s going to be a tour too, so don’t miss out.
