Anyone with good taste will tell you just how much they love Broadcast and how sadly missed they are. Of course, the band ended with the untimely death of Trish Keenan, but for people who love them, there’s good news.
Broadcast have announced that they’re going to release some new music – they say it’ll be their final releases, and both a collection of previously unreleased demos and music.
First off, we’ll get ‘Spell Blanket’ which will be made up of music recorded from 2006 to 2009. Trish recorded the music on a four track and MiniDisc, and was almost certainly destined for the group’s fourth LP proper. You’ll be able to buy that from Warp Records on May 3rd. Below, you can hear a cut from it called ‘Follow The Light’.
Then, on Trish’s birthday on September 28th, there’ll be ‘Distant Call’ which will be demos and music from 2000-2006. You can listen to that below too. Beautiful artwork for both albums, you have to say.
If you want to preorder the albums, you can by clicking here. Both will be available on vinyl and CD. Of course, they’ll be landing on your preferred streaming service too.
