MORODER’S CHASE PERFORMED LIVE

We don’t know Kebu, but we know we have seen something that made us beam with joy at the sheer existence of it. See, Kebu got his synths and analogue equipment out, learned how to play ‘The Chase’ by Giorgio Moroder top-to-bottom, and performed it live.

That’s cool enough, but thankfully, someone filmed the whole thing and stuck it on the internet for us to watch.

Now, Kebu’s cover isn’t new, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t share it, so if you’ve seen it already, remind yourself of how fun it is. If you haven’t, you’re going to geek out over this. It was performed at the Sthlm Italo Disco Party 2015 at Nalen, Stockholm, and it’s had loads of views. It was new to us, so we’re sticking it on our site.

If you’re a gear nerd, the equipment used: Logan String Melody II; MXR EVH117 flanger; Roland TR-808, Juno 60, Alpha Juno 1&2; Korg Polysix, Poly 61, Mono/Poly, Micro-preset M500; Moog Source; DSI Tetra; Jomox AirBase99; Touched-by-sound DRM1; Oberheim Matrix 1000; Marion Prosynth; Akai MPC2500 (only for MIDI sequencing), M-Audio Trigger Finger; Yamaha 01v96; Lexicon MPX500 & MPX550, as well as a midi patchbay and additional preamps.
