Jazz fusion’ers Ezra Collective have said they’ve got a new LP coming out this year, on the back of winning that award they won (we can’t remember what the award was, but we wrote about it and basically, it was well deserved) which is good news!
Of course, that means a little teaser for it in the shape of a new single. That’s called ‘Ajala’ and it’s the usual hot, modern, funky take on intercontinental jazz.
Femi Koleoso says: “‘Ajala travel’ is slang for someone that can’t sit still. It’s the way a lot of people would describe me, but for me it’s also what a great drum beat does, it’s what great music does to me, it means I can’t sit still and I just want to move. Ajala is all about that movement.”
Cool. Have a listen.
