Look, most bands put a song out to let you know new things are coming, but not 2nd Grade. The power poppers from Philadelphia have chucked THREE whole songs at our ears and mercifully, they’re all really fun and filled with skuzzy pop hooks and jangly guitars.

The revival of power pop is very welcome after years of breathy singing and singer-songwriters being caught up in the pages of their diaries. WE NEED CHORUSES!

There’s a new album due called ‘Scheduled Explosions’ and that’s due at some point this month. To whet the appetite, you can listen to the three songs they’ve shared – ‘I Wanna Be On Your Mind’, ‘Uncontrollably Cool’, and ‘Like A Wild Thing’.
