Wolf Alice are one of the cooler pop-adjacent rock groups out there, so it is good to hear the distant rumbling of a comeback for them. It might all be a bit vague, but the rumblings are pretty loud.

Over on Twitter, a band tweeted that they’d “had a dream last night that wolf alice announced their new album.” The group replied to that with “Dream or vision?” Cue the hysterics.

When an account yelled “Wolf Alice are BACK”, bass player Theo impishly replied with an egg timer, which would suggest that either the band have an album good to go and are just waiting for a record label to release it, or they’re happy enough and thus begins the countdown.

Now, the group are playing at Glastonbury this year, so you’d expect some new songs in the set and an announcement is sure to be made there, if not before.

They’ve split with Dirty Hit label (something to do with The 1975), and have signed to Columbia Records, so you expect a big ol’ grandmother of a label like that, will have you waiting around and men with flipcharts will try and maximise your impact, no doubt with a marquee festival slot like Glastonbury.
