We’re always in the market for music that reminds us of soft psych, like Millennium and The Free Design, and mix it with gorgeous psychedelic folk, and you’re really speaking our language.
And so, to Biita Houdei who has a beautiful, joyful new song out called ‘Life Inside The Hourglass’, which is instantly charming and deserves the world.
It is remarkable that this is Houdie’s debut single, as it really has landed fully formed. That means, of course, we’re going to get far too excited about the potential for a debut album too.
We hear Judee Sill, Wendy & Bonnie, Mellow Candle, Margo Guryan and loads of good stuff hidden in the corners of this song.
Absolutely someone we’re going to keep an eye on.
As Biita is apparently Farsi for ‘unique’, it seems like she was destined to make magical things. On the strength of this, a well deserved name.
We can’t wait for more! Live dates after the video.
