Dent May has been making glorious pop-rock for ages now, covering McCartney-ish harmony and Power Pop gems, with a dash of New Wave and more. He’s one of the best to do it, honestly and you’re probably already a fan

Well, good news – he’s back with a new track and news of a new LP too!

The album is called ‘The Big One’ and you’ll be able to hear the full thing on August 14th, and the lead track from it goes by the same name – and it’s vintage Dent we’re happy to report!

Previously, he’s worked alone but this time around, he’s gone fancy, working with another POPCORPS fave, Paul Cherry.

“I was so comfortable in my creative routine,” says May, “that it was hard to push myself to try anything new. But after messing around with a few songs, I just said ‘forget the computer’ and started sending voice memos to my friends.”

We’ll be reviewing the album in good time, but until then, get stuck into ‘The Big One’ and get excited about the new record!
