Madonna’s maximalist moments in pop music should always be embraced, because if you can’t find some enjoyment from a megastar throwing everything and the kitchen sink at the wall, then you’re probably in need of a new hobby.
She’s taking us back to the dancefloor with her new album – ‘Confessions II’ – and the Sabrina Carpenter number that preceded it was genuinely really good and sounded exactly like a Madonna song in 2026 should sound.
Madge has now released a ‘film’ for the new album which, importantly, features laser beams coming out of people’s butts and nether-regions. There’s more than just that, obviously, but we were very tickled by the inventive use of a light show when it appeared in this teaser.
Madonna is crashing raves, making out with people in the toilets, joined by Richard E Grant, chased by an army of kinda roboty girls, involved in a dance party, and basically you need to watch the whole thing yourself.
Keep ’em peeled for Debi Mazar, Honey Dijon, Benedict Cumberbatch, Cole Palmer (?!) , Kate Moss, Shygirl, Lourdes Leon, and loads more. Madonna is back, baby. This album sounds killer!
A lot of fun is to be had for ourselves here, but Madonna might be the one indulging herself the most!
Excellent stuff.
