Jeff Parker and his band have been making some of the best jazz on the planet at the moment. Parker, of course, is a member of the peerless Tortoise, so you know his extra curricular stuff is worth checking.

We loved the last LP they releases – The Way Out Of Easy – so it’s no surprise our ears pricked up when we saw a full live show uploaded to YouTube.

Played in the round in Los Angeles, ‘Happy Today’ is an “album length concert film”, so strap in, let the music get in your bones, and if you haven’t checked his music out elsewhere, do exactly that.
