Swamp Dogg has been knocking around a while now, but this whole damned time, he’s been a walking legend of funk-fused blues and wry observations – not to mention some natty outfits that are unparalleled!
Well, he’s back and thinking about the big stuff with an album called ‘Swamp Dogg Contemplates The Afterlife’.
The press release says: “If things work out, that’ll be a place with all the comforts of home.” Nice.
He’s 83 years old now, and sounding very lively as well as sagely, which is a nice mix. There’s appearances from Gary U.S. Bonds and Jerry Williams Jr. too. Anyway, if you’re game, here’s a cut from the new album before you go cut loose with the whole thing.
