Mute have announced the details of a new live album from the mighty Can – ‘Can Live in Arles 1975’ – and you’ll be able to hear it and buy on 25th September.

Recorded the summer at the Roman Amphitheatre, Théâtre Antique d’Arles, the recording features the core gang of Irmin Schmidt, Jaki Liebezeit, Michael Karoli, and Holger Czukay. 

If you want to be jealous of those that attended, the gig saw Nico & Kevin Ayres and Ash Ra Tempel supporting.

The author and journalist Pascal Bussy was there, man, and is on hand for the sleeve notes too.

This is the latest in a series of live reissues of the group, and they’ve all been hugely loved and praised in the music press. Keep your eyes peeled for this – it should be unmissable!
