Jorja Smith knows how to put a banger out, so it is fun news that she’s announced a new record which will be called ‘What Are The Odds?’, and you’ll be able to hear that next month, specifically on August 21st.
She’s collabing with producer P2J and there’ll be features from Devlin and WizKid too.
“This album came together really naturally,” Jorja told Billboard. “There was never a big plan; it was just me making music that felt right in the moment. Working with P2J, we started experimenting with different sounds, pulling from U.K. garage, grime and house (funky house, Afro house) and it all grew from there.”
“The music feels uplifting, but the lyrics can be a bit sad at times. They’re about growing up, love, loss, friendships and figuring things out as I go. I trusted my instincts with this one, and I think you can hear that throughout the record.”
The new single from it is called ‘Alive’ and features the aforementioned WizKid, but we’ve decided to embed ‘What’s Done Is Done’ instead, because we like it a lot. You can go find the new song on your own steam, right? You know how this all works by now.
Jorja has a tour lined up too, so head to her socials or whatever to see where she’s playing.
