It said: God of War, the project of They Are Gutting A Body of Water’s Douglas Dulgarian and Hooky’s Scott Turner and Sam Silbert, is excited to announce their upcoming album, molly picture, out via Julia’s War Recordings on August 7, 2026. “mickey don’t pose” and “new deal” offer an initial preview of the record’s electronic overtone. The official music video for “mickey don’t pose” by TAGABOW and Her New Knife collaborator David Luna showcases the never-ending chase for the world’s pleasures, prioritizing winning at all costs.
Okay? Well, the bit that musta grabbed us said this: God of War is music for the crowd of if you know, you know-ers. Debuting in 2023 with their album, serotonin, God of War embodies the feeling of getting lost in a video game or skate video. The trio of Philadelphia DIY heroes have joined forces to create songs with layers of droning metallics, twisted riffs, Nintendo-esque sounds, and supreme pop songcraft under a blanket of melancholy.
The video is retro fun, the music is kinda funky, kinda lowbeat, vaporwave meets something else, and we think we like it.
