Well, that’s the crushingly gorgeous sound of Strawberry Hands, who channels Skip Spence, loner country, psychedelic private press folk, outsider psych, Townes Van Zandt, and all the good bits of your record collection and more besides.

We’re in love, truly, and when the record comes out, you and everyone else needs to act sharp.

See, there’s a new Strawberry Hands LP coming out, and preceding it, an absolutely dynamite track called ‘Dream of Water’. It’s tender, unique, and lies in some uncertain corridor between folk and country, all the while sounding like nothing else around at the moment.

The album is called ‘A Jazz Blessing for the Animal’ and will be out on September 18th on Otherly Love Records. We will absolutely review the hell out of it because we think it’s going to be a special record.

Jacob Brunner who is the brains behind the project, has collaborated with Weyes Blood, Karl Blau, Frank Hurricane, and Little Wings, so you know you’re in good company here.

This is the third LP from Brunner, which is news to us, so we’re off checking them out while we wait for this one. This guy deserves the world.
