Light In The Attic put out great music, but this new thing they’ve hatched looks like a particularly wonderful thing indeed!

The comp is called A LA ALTURA: VISIONARY MEXICAN MUSIC 1977-1999, Volumes 1 & 2, and it celebrates the brilliant Mexican musicians who merged electronic and indigenous instruments with minimalism, ambient, jazz and new age aesthetics, featuring artists including Ana Ruiz, Antonio Russek, Luis Pérez, Jorge Reyes, and Antonio Zepeda, amongst others

Compiled and produced by Mexican journalist, musician and DJ, Carlos “Tropicaza” Icaza & dublab radio founder and LA Phil Creative Producer Mark “Frosty” McNeill, and features cover art from the legendary Eduardo Terrazas.
