Super Furry devotees need to take note – two decades after its release, the sole Acid Casuals album, ‘Omni’, is being released on vinyl on Fri 30 October 2026.

If you didn’t know, this is the Cardiff collective which stars SFA synthlord Cian Ciarán. And this article features a track from it, which has been (accurately) dubbed “psychedelic doo wop”.

What’s not to love?

Ciarán and his Acid Casual cohort Kev Tame have also announced a special, one-off performance of Omni in Cardiff as part of Cardiff Music City Festival.

The show is on Fri 2nd October 2026 at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama if you’re in the market for tickets. The album will be played in whole, which is excellent news.

This remastered LP is a pivotal piece of the Welsh underground, and saw release between the Super Furry albums ‘Love Kraft’ and ‘Hey Venus!’.
