Opening for Tinariwen across Europe this year, Sulaf has been making a name for herself with her take on Sudanese music, in a period where there’s been quite the boom in global, Arabic grooves getting more traction.

Sulaf is from Sudan, and ‘Sameen’ has an irresistible vibe, dedicated to her great-grandfather Abdelazim Sayed Ahmed, a Sufi poet – his verses appear on the album, which goes by the name of ‘Aba’, which will be released October 9th.

She left Sudan for France in 2022 thanks to the break out of war, and lives in exile in France still. Get on this.
