Macklemore was forcibly removed from a tour for his opinions, and it happened in the Land of the Free. So much for first amendment rights, or whatever.

Ed Sheeran responded to Macklemore’s statement, with a mealy mouthed response of vague ‘peace for all’ chat, referring to a genocide as a “conflict”, and talking about “both sides” and, you get the idea of the rest.

Well, now Sheeran has other problems to contend with. Aaron Rowe – one of the openers for the shows – has pulled out of the tour entirely. And so has Finneas (that’s Billie Eilish’s brother and songwriting partner). And so has Lukas Graham. And Beoga, Ed’s own backing band.

Rowe posted his kiss off to Instagram, saying that he could not stand by while billionaires silenced voices speaking up against “Israeli genocide” and those who highlight the “savage murder of children.”

“Ed has been a friend to me and has changed my life, I could never thank him enough for this,” Rowe wrote. “But as Irish people we know all too well about genocide, forced famine, and violent occupation.”

Finneas said he decided to withdraw from his upcoming tour dates writing that he stands “with Palestine and its people,” adding” artists must not be silenced when they speak up for the oppressed.”

Anyway, looks like Robert Kraft decides who Ed Sheeran can party with, regardless of whatever he says his personal, private views are, and that’s a bad look.
