Mort Garson soundtracked the first moon landing and then, decades later, had a cult hit with an old LP he’d made to soothe your plants with – the now lauded and much loved ‘Mother Earth’s Plastasia’, which was initially only available from a plant shop in Los Angeles in 1976.

Well, there’s more strings to Mort’s bows than that, and we thought we’d share this fun-time, jaunty number called ‘Space Walker’ under the name The Time Zone.

This is from 1968, and is a different vibe from his music that is proto-ambient or occult sounded synth work.
