The debut album of Syrian-Lebanese duo Kazdoura – ‘Ghoyoum’ – was a huge success, so it’s great news that they’re back with another record!

Almost guaranteeing them a bigger audience, which is richly deserved, this new album will be in partnership with the hugely popular Habibi Funk label.

On this new outing, you’ll heard traditional Arabic musical influences poured into psychedelic funk rock,

The press release says that, while making the album, the duo drew inspiration from artists including Altın Gün, Men I Trust and Kit Sebastian, alongside older Arabic music and records from the Habibi Funk catalogue. We can hear it! And that’s all compliment!

The new album – ‘Markab’ – comes in at ten tracks, dealing in universal themes like love, loss, vulnerability, freedom, and looking toward their homelands.
