It’s easy to mock the Old Heads for going on about Golden Era hip hop, but honestly, it’s hard to hate when the output is so consistently joyful!

And so, to The X-Ecutioners – originally known as X-Men – the NYC turntable crew playing crunchy, crackly vinyl and doing wonderful beat juggles and more!

This footage of The X-Men is live at WNYU Radio, and aside from the great breaks, witty cuts and insane skills, one of the best things is Pete Rock looking over, just grinning and vibing with what’s happening.

This is a wonderful snapshot of a great time in music.
