PSYCHEDELIC FOLK GREATNESS FROM WHAIT

Wendy Eisenberg is making music under the name Whait, combing free-wheeling folk and an ear for popsike, which is obviously great news for anyone with half decent taste in music.

And Eisenberg has been making a noise for herself, featuring on the cover of The Wire, as well as words in Stereogum, Guardian, Pitchfork, The Line of Best Fit, and loads more.

And now, THEPOPCORPS, obviously.

She’s working with more eaze on this record, and coming with it, is some shows with The Animal Collective, which we think is a sign of good taste too.

We’re hearing traces of classic acid folk, mixed with the Gonzo Pop of Brian Wilson, as well as The United States of America and the latest one from Strawberry Hands on the killer new single ‘Falling Down’.

Whait’s album, ‘sympathy at home’, is out on vinyl and various digital platforms on 12th February 2027 on Night School Records, which is ages away so you’ll have to set a reminder on your phone or something. Maybe easier to follow some Instagram accounts instead.

Either way, we love this track taken from the project and we’re hoping you love it too.
