NYC’s Big Crown records have put a tonne of great records out, and they’ve been doing it for so long that they’re turning TEN! A massive achievement, given how many small labels have folded in recent years.

Anyway, to celebrate, Big Crown are releasing a 25-track comp of their killer back catalogue called ‘Ten Years of Big Crown’.

Formed by Danny Akalepse and El Michels Affair’s Leon Michels, the label has an international roster with gorgeous, classic production techniques that make their records identifiable from the jump.

Some of America’s finest feature, with Lady Wray, Brainstory, Lee Fields and more, with global neighbours Thee Marloes from Indonesia, Turkish psych funk outfit Derya Yildirim & Grup Simsek, and loads loads loads more.

Out across various formats on Friday 30th October, you can stream and download ‘Ten Years of Big Crown here’ and find on Bandcamp here and if you’re looking for a UK record shop that stocks the vinyl, Norman Records have your back.
