TALKING HEADS TO RELEASE A BOOK (BUT NOT GETTING BACK TOGETHER)

Look, stop wishing Talking Heads will get back together – they seem quite happy with the relationship they’ve current got at the moment, Byrne is touring on his own, and they’re getting a lot of love from fans without having to haul a show around the world.

That said, it’s not like this isn’t something of a boom time for fans of the band.

‘Stop Making Sense’ got rejigged and everyone rightly loved it, they got their own SiriusXM radio station – and now there’s going to be an official book from them full of stuff not seen before.

This new book – which is coming out next year – is simply titled ‘Talking Heads: New Feeling’ and all being well, it’ll be on the shelves on 18th May.

According to an interview with Jerry Harrison with publisher Abrams Books, it’ll be a doozy for fans: “For this book, we pulled out handwritten lyrics, original album sketches, and private photos, some of which haven’t left our archive in over 40 years.”

There’ll also be essays from all the members as well as contributions from some of the famous fans of Talking Heads, including Debbie Harry, Lorde, and Jeff Bridges. That’s nice isn’t it?

Here’s the cover.
