EarthGang, on their day, are one of the best to do it and they’re back with a new track called ‘Cool Me Down’, which is a response to Global Warming, which is not something you’d expect from your average hip hop outfit – but then, these aren’t your typical hip hop outfit.

The press release says the track is “featuring sounds drawn from the natural world” and that it “sees the Atlanta duo become the first major hip-hop act to credit Nature on a release, thereby redirecting a proportion of the royalties towards projects helping address the unfolding climate emergency.”

“Cool Me Down is electric and hypnotizing. Every sound and word was intentionally chosen to add to the rhythm of nature and enjoyment of life,” explain EarthGang. “Also, saving the planet should be fun.”

“Nature has always been a part of music and music is the most powerful tool we have in connecting people around a common idea.  And that idea is that climate justice is our future.”
