Chvrches are back with the news of a new LP called ‘All The King’s Men’ after Lauren Mayberry went off to do some solo work for a bit. In fact, it’s been almost 6 years since we had an album from the group, and they’re going all-in!

The album will be available on January 22nd in the new year, and there’s a new song called ‘Roses’ which you can hear below, of course.

This new record is going to examine the history and culture of Britain, which sounds a bit proggy on the face of it, but rest assured, the album probably won’t be like that. That said, there’s a change in their sound after being synth-heavy!

The influences on this one, we’re told, are the likes of Siouxsie & The Banshees, Massive Attack, Bert Jansch and Incredible String Band, and more, which is exciting – they’re all good influences there, aren’t they?

We can hear the Post Punk and New Wave influences on ‘Roses’, and that’s no bad thing. After the video, you can see the tour dates too, which are extensive to say the least.

Catch them in a town near you.
