Back in 1997, before they masked up, Daft Punk were doing blistering live sets that were filled with sonic warfare, but also, playing funky as hell, ruin yer trainers house DJ sets.

A mix has been found from that time, which hasn’t been online before, restored from a damaged cassette.

The mix was to be aired on Ralph Lawson’s Kiss FM show, Trans Europe Express, and Lawson worked with Bristol-based audio and video digitising studio Great Bear before sharing it with the world.

This is different from the famous Essential Mix that’s been heard from the French duo, and features Armand Van Helen, Basement Jaxx, and more.
