There’s nothing a music writer likes saying more than ‘toldyouso‘. Be it spotting a band before they get big and you told everyone they’d like them, and they did, or better yet, saying there’s something off about an artist for them to reveal themselves to be dicks.

This is all to lead up to this – just days ago, with zero research or insider knowledge, we felt there was new music from Caroline Polachek due. Well there is. Maybe everyone else already had time-sensitive press releases, but we didn’t.

She’s shared the new song called ‘Blood and Butter’ (TASTY!) and, in a very bold move, features Brìghde Chaimbeul on bagpipes. Her new LP is going to be called ‘Desire, I Want To Turn Into You’ and it’ll be out on Valentine’s Day.

There’ll also be appearances from Grimes and Dido. How about that then? Here’s the new song that you probably already knew about.
