If you love those ace LPs that spearheaded electronic music in the ’60s and ’70s, you’re going to love the imminent LP from the Will Gregory Moog Ensemble. It’s a debut LP called ‘Heat Ray: The Archimedes Project’ and it has made in collaboration with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
Apparently, it was inspired by the patterns of Greek mathematician Archimedes, which is fun isn’t it? You also may recognise Will’s name from his association with Goldfrapp, and included on the LP are Adrian Utley from Portishead, and loads more talented people all twiddling the knobs and plugging the patch leads into their Minimoogs, Korgs, Prophets, Rolands and the rest. It’s an analoguefest, and obviously, that’s tremendously fun for all concerned including us!
Pre-order it on vinyl here! And if you want to listen to a couple of tracks from it, here you go.
